The Children's Trust of South Carolina

We focus our efforts on prevention, working to keep bad things from happening to our most vulnerable population:  children. We work with our partners throughout the state to keep our children free from child abuse, neglect and unintentional injuries. If we have strong families, we will have strong children. 

We accomplish this work in many ways.

• Through the federal community-based child-abuse prevention program, we fund innovative, child-centered and family-focused programs that strengthen families using proven protective factors.
  
• We help equip prevention professionals with skills they need through our education and development program. We advocate for prevention programs and early intervention, both of which improve children's lives while saving dollars.
  
• We also serve as the lead agency in coordinating the delivery of voluntary home visiting services to improve the health, development and early learning of our youngest children.
  
• Through Safe Kids South Carolina, we encourage and promote a wide variety of safety programs, including safe sleep and child passenger safety, through a vibrant network of coordinating coalitions working out of 13 locations throughout South Carolina.
  
• Prevent Child Abuse South Carolina gives us the forum to advocate for strong families and healthy children.
